However, there's much still to be done with British publications. Gage's case was widely reported in the popular press in the 19th c, and in the last 20 years we've had good luck tracking down reports of him in American papers and magazines. I am a published researcher on Phineas Gage and have been working on that article for several years to bring it up to date with the most current research.Access to the obituaries which were printed in papers would be helpful.- Racklever ( talk) 18:09, 20 June 2014 (UTC) (member of the 50,000 edit club Reply Thanks just wanted to confirm (a few people signed up with the intention of accessing more recent stuff: Approved, expect a Wikipedia email soon Sadads ( talk) 18:15, 20 June 2014 (UTC) Reply ![]() Could you be more specific about what types of biographical articles you mean to update, Sadads ( talk) 17:03, 20 June 2014 (UTC) Reply Sadads:I would like to expand biographies of 19th century and early 20th century politicians and business leaders. Racklever ( talk) 21:45, 19 June 2014 (UTC) Reply Racklever: Most of the newspapers in the collection, are only covered up through the middle of the 20th century. I would like to have access mainly to view obituaries so that I can update biographical articles. My favourite topics are, among others, Russian History, Sports, academic journals, arts, music and politics. There is a wide variety of topics I am busy with. ![]() In eight years, I made over 7,400 edits on the English Wikipedia. I recently took out a month's subscription to the BNA because it contains a vast selection of useful sources beyond those to which I already have access. I use British newspaper archives mostly for biographical and history articles and make regular use of my ability to access those for The Guardian and The Times that are available to me already via my local library.
